When you restore access to Promote a reset email will be sent to the user. This email contains a link to follow and then the user can restore their access. The link is valid for 1 hour, and after that, you'll need a new link to be able to restore your access
Restore access from the login page
This is the most common way to resolve access issues. Instead of waiting for an admin, the user can follow these steps:
Go to the login page.
Click on "Can’t sign in?" or "Sign in with link."
Follow the on-screen instructions to regain access.
💡 Tip: If a user contacts you about a forgotten password or lost access, simply share these steps with them so they can get back into the site immediately.
Restore access from admin view
As an admin, you have the ability to manually send a restore access email to a user. However, this should be considered a secondary option.
The preferred method is for the user to restore their own access. This allows them to control exactly when the instructions are sent and ensures they are ready to follow the steps immediately.
If you need to send the instructions from the admin view, follow these steps:
Search for the user: Go to the User tab in the global menu and find the person you are looking for.
Access their settings: Open their profile and click on the Access information tab.
Send the email: Under the Restore access section, click Send email.
