Introduction to resources
Resources in Promote can be files, documents, links, videos, or e-learnings that support the learning process. You can also control who sees the resource by assigning it to specific roles (e.g., learners or coaches). This makes it possible to share extra material with learners while giving coaches additional background material or guidance.
How to create a new resource
Open your assignment, session, or task
At the bottom of the page, press the +Create new resource button.-
Enter details
Add a title for the resource.
Select the type (file, video link, link, or e-learning).
Upload your file or paste the link.
Select visibility
Choose which roles in the program should have access to the resource.(Optional) Add admin notes
Notes are only visible to admins and can be used to clarify usage.Save
Click Create resource. The resource will now be available in your program.
File size recommendations
- We recommend keeping resources below 100 MB.
- The system supports files up to 150 MB, but larger files can cause slow downloads or storage issues for learners.
- For large files:
- Compress or resize images in documents.
- Split large files into smaller parts.
- For video, follow our video recommendations here.
Keeping resources small ensures smooth access for learners, even with limited bandwidth or device storage.
Adding e-learnings as resources
If you want to add an e-learning package as a resource, you first need to upload it in the E-learnings tab in the Global menu. Read more about managing e-learnings here ->
