What Is an Online Session?
An Online Session is a session held online using your preferred video conferencing tool (Zoom, Teams, etc.). You add your meeting details directly into Promote, making it easy for learners to find the link and join.
In the program overview, online sessions are marked with a video icon so learners can spot them easily. This is what a online session looks like for learners:
Where Online Sessions Fit in the Program Structure
As with all sessions, online sessions belong to an Event. You’ll need to create an Event module before you can add any type of session.
Add to Calendar
Learners can click Add to calendar to download an ICS file that includes:
-
The session date and time
-
A link to Promote (encouraging learners to visit the program for full details before joining)
If the session doesn’t yet have a date and time, the calendar button will be inactive.
Use Schedules
Use Schedules within your session to highlight key timings or themes. These help learners quickly understand the flow of the session.
