Overview of the Timeline
Since the program members have individual start and end dates, you don't set a start and end date for the program. Learn how to set an individual start date here ->
You can make blocks, events, sessions and assignments available or unavailable to the program members, learn more here ->
You set days from the individual start date to decide when a task is due, read more here ->
You can edit the days from the individual start date for all tasks in an assignment at the same time

Managing an individual start date program
When you build the structure of the program:
-
All dates are set using “days from start” (e.g., a task is due 5 days after the learner's start date).
-
This approach ensures consistency across learners while still allowing personalised scheduling.
💡 Tip: Setting due dates for all tasks is highly recommended. It makes it easier to track learner progress, especially important in individual timeline programs.

Managing Program Members
When adding learners, facilitators, or coaches to a program with individual start dates, you define:
-
Start date – when they gain access
-
End date – when their access ends
Each person can have unique access periods. For example, facilitators may need longer access to support multiple learners over time.

Previewing the Program
When previewing the program as an admin, the system assumes today’s date as the start date. This helps you see how due dates and progress bars will appear for a learner starting today.

Learners in Individual Start Programs
Learners see real calendar dates for due dates, just like in other programs. However, these dates are based on their individual start date.
Their progress bar also includes:
-
A grey dot representing expected progress, based on their start date.
-
This allows learners to stay on track regardless of when others started.
Coaches and Facilitators in Individual Start Programs
For Coaches and Facilitators:
-
Their own start date only controls access to the program—it doesn’t affect any program dates.
-
They do not have their own due dates.
-
Instead, all tasks and events show as “days from start” to indicate general expectations.
They can:
-
View each learner’s real due dates and progress.
-
Track if learners are falling behind, thanks to individual progress indicators.
