Administrators are able to peek into any programs they have access to by using the preview feature. This feature is, for example, useful while building a program to see how the added content and program structure look from the view of the different roles in a program.
How to Preview a Program
Click the Preview program button in the upper-right corner
When previewing a program, the admin will be able to select any role and view the content of the program the same way as a member of the program would. A bar at the top of the program will remind you that you are in preview mode, allow you to switch role and to exit preview mode and return you to the admin view.
While previewing a program, you can navigate the program and look at all content but you cannot post comments, complete tasks, like comments and so on.
When previewing a program with individual start dates as an admin, the start date will always be considered to be today. This means any due dates in the program will be displayed based on the current date.
Previewing a program as a Learner
While previewing a program as a learner, the admin will be able to see everything a normal learner can see, including comments in the feed, etc. As a learner in preview mode, you will not be assigned to a group or team or have a peer for peer tasks, so those tasks will look empty. You will also not have any progress in the program or in any goals.
Previewing as a learner can be a great tool when building your new program or when demoing a live program to someone.
Previewing a program as Coach
Previewing a program as a coach means you will have access to the same content that any coach would have, including coach-specific announcements, resources or coach instructions for assignments.
Since the previewing coach will not have a learner assigned, you will not be able to see any private communication in coach-approved tasks, and you will not be able to see the progress of any assigned learner. However, on the tab Members, you can still see all learners' progress.
Previewing a program as a Facilitator
When previewing a program as a facilitator, you will be able to view any content that is available to a real facilitator in the program. This includes progress for learners, communication in team tasks, and facilitator-approved tasks, as well as all resources and announcements.
Previewing asa Facilitator is very useful when an admin needs to be able to check if a learner completed a task or if you just want to know how the program is progressing in general.
