Introduction to Goals
Goals help visualise progress toward important outcomes in a program. Each goal is tied to specific tasks, and as learners complete those tasks, their progress toward the goal increases.
You can:
-
Add multiple goals in a single program
-
Connect one task to more than one goal
-
Show learners how their individual actions contribute to broader learning outcomes
This allows learners to clearly see the purpose behind each task and how it contributes to their overall learning journey.

How to create goals
-
Go to the Goals tab in the program admin view.
-
Click + Create New.
-
Enter a Title and a Description.
-
Click Save.
All goals will be listed in the Goals tab, and you can edit them at any time by clicking on the title.
How to connect tasks to goals
There are two ways to connect tasks to goals, depending on how you prefer to design your program:
Option A: Assign goals directly in the Builder
-
Go to the Builder tab.
-
Click on the task you want to connect.
-
Open the Goals tab inside the task.
-
Select the goal(s) you want to assign and click Save.
Option B: Assign tasks to goals in the Goals tab
-
Go to the Goals tab in the program admin view.
-
Open the goal you want to manage.
-
Use the task list to add or remove tasks linked to the goal.
-
Save your changes.
This gives you flexibility: either create your goals first and assign them as you build tasks, or build your program structure first and then connect all tasks from the Goals tab afterwards.
Please note
- You can add several goals to the same task.
- Tasks that are located in unavailable content will be hidden for the associated goal until that part of the program is made available to the learners.
