In this article, you’ll learn how to enable and manage admin permissions in Promote. Admin permissions allow you to tailor user roles based on how you manage your programs, whether you want centralised control or prefer to delegate admin responsibilities across your team.

Overview of Admin Permissions
Program permissions
- Create and manage own programs: You have access to the "Create new program" button to create new programs on the site. Users with this permission can also manage and copy (and translate) the programs they have created.
- Manage content in all programs: Create, import, and edit content (modules, assignments, dates, goals, resources, AI assistants, integrations, and sessions) in all programs. Users with this permission can also copy (and translate) all programs on the site.
- Manage members in all programs: Add, edit, and delete members in all programs.
- Manage integrations in all programs: Enables you to manage integrations in all programs
User permissions
- Manage users: Access the site-level user tab, add new users, and manage existing ones (requires “View users” to see and edit users).
- View users: You have access to the site-level user list and can view all users on the site. You can not add new users or delete or edit any existing users; to be able to do this, you need to have the "Manage users" permission.
- Manage user permissions: Required to edit user permissions and assign admin roles. This permission can only be enabled by a Super Admin. Note! A user can only assign permissions that they themselves have. For example, if a user does not have the "Manage Fetch" permission, they cannot grant that permission to someone else.
- Bulk delete users: Allows admins to remove multiple users in a single action.
Content permissions
- Manage AI assistants: Access and manage the AI assistants
- Manage resources: Access the site-level resource library and manage any existing resources. Learn more about managing existing resources here >
- Manage diplomas: Create and manage diplomas.
- Manage site integrations: Enables you to manage integrations on site-level
- Manage e-learnings: Add, edit, and delete e-learnings in the site-level e-learning list.
- Manage Fetch: Access Fetch via your profile menu to build questionnaires and manage collections. Learn more about Fetch here >
- Manage qualifications: Enables you to create, edit and manage qualifications
- Manage custom reports: Enables you to create and generate Custom reports.
General permissions
- Manage branding: Manage branding options for the site. You can apply, edit, delete, or create brandings. Learn more about managing the branding options here>
- View site dashboard: View and compare stats across multiple programs in one dashboard. Learn more about Dashboard here>
- Super admin: Grants full admin permissions and manages access for other admins. Only Promote staff can assign Super admin status. Contact support@promoteint.com for additional Super Admins.
Program Admins (via Program Settings)
Users can be assigned as Program Admins for individual programs by someone with “Manage users” + “Manage members in all programs”.
Program Admins can:
Access all views in assigned programs (Settings, Builder, Members, Groups, Goals)
Create and assign existing resources
Add members to the program via CSV or manually
→ If a user doesn’t exist, they’ll be created
→ If a user exists, their info can be viewed/edited

How to Enable Admin Permissions
The Manage user permissions is required to enable permissions, and only a Super admin can grant it.
Go to the Users tab in the global menu.
Search for the user or click +Add new in the upper-right corner to create a new account.
Enter the Permissions tab and check the boxes for the permissions you want to enable.
Click Save.
Once permissions are saved:
Existing user: The user can access the admin view from the top-right menu by clicking on Admin.
New user: They’ll need to set a password. Go to the site’s login page, click Can’t sign in?, and follow the instructions in the email they receive.
