How to build your program
Before you start to build you need to understand which parts a program is structured in Promote - read this article to learn about the three levels of a program. Then create your program. Now, how should you transform the before, during and after into assignments and sessions in your program that also makes sense to the learners? In this article, you can find some tips on how to create learner-centered assignments.
The before
In the before segment, you'll give the learners preparation assignments to build common knowledge and commitment before the workshop.
Step 1: Create a Module - Block
Step 2: Create an Assignment
Step 3: Create a Task
If you have several assignments in the before segment of your design repeat step 2-3.
The during
The during is the webinar or classroom workshop and consists of an Event and Session.
Step 1: Create a Module - Event
Step 2: Edit the Session
You can add a task to the session if your learners will complete tasks in the program during the workshop.
The after
In the after segment, you’ll give the learners relevant and challenging application assignments that they can access and perform on the job, after the training. Repeat step 1-3 as in “The before” to create this segment of the program.
