An Event in Promote is often used to represent an instructor led training. It can also be used to represent webinars, telephone conferences etc. Basically, you use Event when you need to have everyone doing something at the same time in the same place.
The program structure in Promote Next Gen is limited to 3 levels:
Level 1 - Block, Event and Milestone
Level 2 - Assignment
Level 3 - Task
In Builder Blocks, Events and Milestones are gathered as modules.
An event doesn't contain any other information itself more than title, start and end date. This means that the main purpose for an event is to group information to provide a clear structure.
An event then holds Sessions and a session will be automatically created when you create an event. It's in a session you add the content for your event. Read more about sessions here ->
This is what an event with associated session looks like for a learner/coach/facilitator
If you lock your Event - it will be faded out and you can't click on it or see whats in it until it´s unlocked again. Read more about locks here ->
How to create your Event
- Go to builder in your program
- Press "New module"
- Choose what kind of module you like to create (Block, Event or Milestone)
- Set a title, start and end date, and use locks if you like
