TEAM TASKS
The completion type 'Team' is one of the keys for encouraging guided social learning on the Promote Platform. It was recently improved with a new layout and a new feature, learn more here ›, so we would like to share some helpful how-to's and some inspiration on how you can use Team tasks in your own programs.
How to use Team tasks
There are several benefits to using team tasks, for example, adding a sense of community to your program, allowing your learners to conduct problem-solving and sharing ideas with peers, to name a few. Team tasks can be used for encouraging collaboration when you would like your learners to prepare, research or report something together. You can also use team tasks for peer coaching by creating teams of only two members each.

You can now adjust the team names for each task, which allows you to be creative when designing your assignments. You could set up an assignment where you provide different material for each team. The teams could work on different cases, videos, presentations, etc. Based on the team names you clarify which team should work with which materials. View an example by clicking on Learn more. |
How does a Team task work?
How learners complete a Team task
Learners are divided into smaller teams, and then given a private chat in which to, for example, solve a problem or discuss a question. Once everyone has contributed to the team discussion, someone in the team will then be designated to share the team’s conclusion with the rest of the program. Use this video to help your learners get started with team tasks.
How to set up a Team task as an Admin
The teams are managed by an admin in the admin view. After you have created the task you can create the teams based on the program groups but the teams can also be adjusted and even created randomly.
