On Thursday, February 11th the platform will be undergoing maintenance in order to release a new version of Promote.
Improvements to the new interface in this release:
- Changed the order of replies so the most recent reply is displayed first instead of last
- Fixed an issue with timestamps for messages that made the feed seem unordered
- Start and end time for virtual sessions should now always be displayed correctly in the user's timezone
- The expected progress indicator available to Facilitators and Coaches will no longer be stuck at 100% when it shouldn’t
- The Facilitator and Coach program progress graph will now take locked tasks into account
- Blocks containing only information and no tasks to complete will now have the green line displayed as completed in the Learning Journey by default
The Feed
In the new interface, the feed has been enlarged and has a more central position, and more features and improvements for the feed are under way. One of the upcoming features, is support for formatting the content in messages. This means that you will be able to use bold text, italics, bulleted and numbered lists and drag and drop images and files – which allows users to be more creative when completing tasks or communicating in the program.
This is one of the most requested features recently so we are excited to soon be able to offer this. We will provide more details in upcoming release notes – so please stay tuned!

Design example of a message. Final design may differ.
In this release you will see some adjustments to the feed, the first one is that the order of replies will now be the same way as in the old interface, meaning the first reply at the top of a thread. You will also see that the issue with the timestamps of messages that sometimes made the feed look unordered is fixed.

Downtime
At some point during the day of the release your server will be restarted which means Promote will be offline for a few minutes. If you are using Promote at this time – wait a little while, reload the page and then you can continue to work in Promote as before.
