In this article, you can find guidance on how to manage 'Virtual Sessions' in the Builder tab. You'll learn how Virtual Sessions integrate with Events, how to customize them, and ways for learners to interact with your Virtual Sessions.
Introduction
When adding a session to your event, you can choose if you want the session to be listed as a virtual session. In a virtual session, you can use your video conference tool of choice, and then list the information so that learners can easily connect to the session in the program.
When you have a virtual session in your program, an icon in the program overview will indicate that it is a virtual session. You as an admin can add the information from your video conference tool, so learners can connect to the session in the program. This is what a virtual session looks like from a learner's perspective:
Add a virtual session to personal calendar
In the virtual session the program members can press the button 'Add to calendar' to download an ics file and add the session in Promote to their personal calendar. Virtual sessions will have time and date imported to the calendar. If there is no date and time set for a session yet, the button is inactive.
The information in the calendar event will contain a link to Promote, this is to encourage users to visit the program and ensure that users do not miss any information before joining the online meeting.
Schedules
You can use Schedules to highlight time or headlines of the day. This is what a Schedule would look like from a learners view:
