If you already have an LMS (Learning Management System) and want to use e-learning resources in Promote there are a few different options:
- If your LMS supports SCORM dispatcher ( https://rusticisoftware.com/products/scorm-cloud/dispatch/) you can create a Dispatch Package and upload it in Promote. With this option the e-learning will be stored in your LMS and all user activity can be tracked there while being accessible in Promote tasks just like any other e-learning stored in Promote.
- Promote support deep linking, meaning you can create resources in Promote that point to the e-learning in your LMS. This may require a user to login to your LMS separately to access the e-learning.
- If your organization are using SSO via SAML for both Promote and your LMS you can use deep linking and avoid the extra step of logging in and achieve a seamless experience for your users.
Promote do currently not support xAPI or offer integration to export user data to an LMS or LRS (Learning Record Store).
Create a link resource
- Go to the assignment where you want to add the e-learning
- Scroll down to the 'Resources' section in the assignment and press the button 'Assign or create'

- Under 'New Resource' you enter the Title of your e-learning, choose the Type Link, and enter the e-learning URL from your LMS under Link

- Press 'Create new resource'

- Done!
