A task is always related to an assignment and requires an action to be completed. Progress in a Promote program is tracked through the completion of tasks. In this article, you will learn more about what a task is, and how you add it to a program.

One task
As a learner, you find the tasks in the assignment. If the assignment only contains one task, the task will be automatically expanded like this example:

If the assignment contains two or more tasks, the learner can switch between them by pressing on them:
Different completion types
When you create a task you need to choose what completion type that task should have. You can choose from Button, Coach approve, Facilitator approve, Comment, E-learning, Survey, Quiz and Peer review. Click here to read more about each completion type ->
How to create a task
Watch the video or follow the steps below to learn how to create a task.
- Go to your program's admin view
- Locate the assignment in which you would like to create a task
- Click on 'New task'
- Choose completion type and then press create
- Fill in title and completion instructions
- You can also manage locks if you like - just click on tab Locks and then you can lock tasks with each other. This to create a specific order of the tasks for the learners to complete.
- In tab Goals you can assign this specific task to a goal. Please note that you have to set a goal first - and then you can assign tasks to it. Read more about goals here ->
