The end date of a program is when the entire program will be closed for the program members. Regardless if you have a program with timeline type 'Program start/end date' or the timeline type 'Individual start dates', the start/end dates determine the period that program members will have access to a program.
Start
This is the start date of the program, meaning that the program member/s will get access to it on the date you set as their start date.
End
The end date of a program is when the entire program will be closed for the program member/s, a program that has passed the End date will be listed in "Closed programs" for a program member. When a program is closed, the program members can no longer access it.
As an admin, you can re-open a program for all program members or an individual program member.
A program that has passed the end date will be categorized as 'Closed' in the user's Programs view:
